This sketchbook was created for a traveling art show by the Art House Co-Op gallery in Atlanta GA. Every artist was given the same blank 3x5 moleskin notebook and a theme to interpret.

I brought my sketchbook with me at the beginning of this year on my travels through Rome, Italy and Barcelona, Spain. On the plane ride over I began testing my brain and trying to develop new styles and different ways of illustrating my characters in an attempt to create something a little different on every page. This turned into a 30 page creative challenge that I really got into.

Rome for New Years was very inspiring with all the amazing fine art and architecture. Elements from this trip found there way into some of the pages. The books small size made it easy to bring along as it killed the boredom of flight layovers and it really helps with jet lagged sleeping habits. Traveling with my girlfriend I got to question, discuss and make games out of the characters direction as they evolved bringing a new life to them.

I still honestly can’t tell you where most of these characters come from but they do flow easily from my pen and are extremely entertaining to create. As this Project evolved I now get to look at them as a complete body of work and figure where I want to take them next. I put a website together so I could share it with my family, friends and make the project available to anyone who would enjoy it. Thanks for checking them out ..................to be continued.
